Hi! I’m Grace! I have loved being upside down since I was really small, and although I no longer can handle roller coasters anymore (where did this motion sickness come from?), my love of inversions is what drew me to yoga during my first class in 2001. Since then, I’ve become a 500 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher (200 E-RYT) with Yoga Alliance and I love teaching all types of yoga including Power Yoga, Gentle Vinyasa, and Yin Yang.
My background includes competitive gymnastics, cheerleading, and hip hop dancing with 220 Second to None and Eight Count. This love of movement led me to the fitness industry, where I became a certified group fitness instructor through the American Council of Exercise (ACE) in 2005. In addition to teaching yoga, I love sweating like crazy in cardio and strength classes! The tougher, the better =)
One of my past roles was choreographing for the fabulous Michelle Dozois on her Peak 10 and BodyFIT360 classes. This even led me to fulfill a secret passion of being one of her “back-up students” in a few of her DVD’s – Peak 10 Cardio Strength Remix and BodyFIT360, as well as getting casted in BeachBody’s 21-Day Fix program.
Now I am grateful to call Marin my home, and I have been given the unexpected blessing of taking on the role as Director of Operations for Marin Power Yoga, in addition to teaching 10+ classes a week! What can I say? I love what I do!
